Then, the Quacksalvers began peddling an emetic/laxative combo pill under the label Insta-Sane. As if retching and running to the commode were not enough, there was another appalling side effect. Namely, the drug actually worked. Surprised that their supposed placebo, in fact, produced a cure for all mental illness, the Quacksalvers promptly fired the pill’s inventor and pulled the drug from the market. Subsequently, the beings from Yed Posterior lived in floridly psychotic bliss and blatantly ignored attempts at treatment giving rise to the beleaguered response, “Whatever.”.." get the rest of your read on here...

mad swirl was the place to be in this poetic community this past 1st Wednesday! this month we featured poet and writer, Josh Weir. he came equipped with his own props (card table & chairs), his own guitar player (Hector Ramirez), his own posse (Maggie Smith & Teresa Megahan) and his notebook full of madness. he then proceeded to steal the night! if you were there, you know what we mean. if not, well, your snooze you lose! see who was who here.

right away, I could tell that our newest featured artist, Jack Miller, was a funky dude - a simple glimpse at his creations could definitely tell you that in a matter of seconds. what I didn't know, however, was how much raw and real talent this funky dude has. i don't even know what I like more - the crazy weird concepts his works feature, or the final products, splashes of color and out-of-this-world images that leave me mind-f**k'd when I look away, thinking...wait...what was that? get your gander on here!
